The Biggest Sign Of Growth Is Underrated: Discomfort
Discomfort, but not any discomfort.
What I found over the years is that mind changes before matter.
Let me explain.
Growing up, having absolutely no clue what I wanted to do in life, I had this belief that probably the right thing to do was to get my Master’s degree.
That would make me proud, telling people I’m so educated in random social contexts, can you imagine?
I learnt later that education -the formal process of learning, typically through structured programs offered by educational institutions- and experience -the practical application of knowledge and skills gained through hands-on practice or real-world exposure- are two different things.
Topic for another time.
I did not want to commit to a 5-year study contract just yet.
So I did it in pieces.
2-year work-study in Marketing Techniques (France), 1-year Bachelor of Business (Australia), and finally 2-year work-study Master in International Business (France).
This came to an end in 2016.
The sense of achievement lasted for.. a week.
